APPLY FOR THE DIGITAL NOMAD VISA

If you are a foreign citizen who works for a foreign company or has international clients, with the digital nomad visa you can do so from Spain.

This visa will allow you to live and work remotely from Spanish territory for 1 to 5 years, carrying out activities as a digital nomad.

ADVANTAGES OF BEING A DIGITAL NOMAD IN SPAIN

REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO APPLY FOR THE DIGITAL NOMAD VISA

This visa is intended for those people who meet the following requirements:

• - Be an employee of a foreign company that allows them to travel and work remotely from another country; or,
• - Be self-employed with several clients outside of Spain and always with sources of income derived from online activities.
• - Demonstrate that prior to the application, you have worked for a minimum of 3 months for the foreign company or that you have had a relationship as an independent professional for your clients during the same period.
• - Prove that you have a minimum income of twice the minimum interprofessional salary (SMI).
• - Contract with the company for a minimum duration of 1 year.
• - Have a graduate or postgraduate degree from prestigious universities or have a minimum of 3 years of experience and training that can be considered equivalent to a university degree.
• - Have no criminal record.
• - Submit a responsible declaration of no criminal record in the last 5 years.
• - Have health coverage for you and your family.

ECONOMIC REQUIREMENTS HOW MUCH SHOULD I EARN TO OBTAIN THE DIGITAL NOMAD VISA IN SPAIN?

On April 18, 2023, the instruction on the application for the visa for teleworking in Spain was published. This instruction requires the applicant:

• - Have a monthly income of 200% of the SMI. The SMI for the year 2024 is 1,134 euros, so you must receive 2,268 euros per month, that is, 31,752 euros per year in 14 payments.
• - For each additional family member, an additional 25% of the SMI will be required, that is, 283.50 euros.
